Two of My Biggest Fall Essentials

Hi lovelies! Today I just wanna share about two of my most important things for the Fall/Winter! And they are...

1. Ugg boots. Who doesn't love Ugg boots? They are the most comfy boots out there. I know they are pricey but it is so worth it. The quality is really nice and it will last you forever. I have owned this pair of knit boots for tree years and they have not worn out yet. I wear this on every fall/winter like everyday! So I believe in investing your money in a good pair of Ugg boots!

2. Infinity Scarf. I love scarfs! Can't leave the house without one on my neck. But my favorite one is the infinity ones because they have no end, so you can just cozy up with it on your neck. It makes you so warm!

I still have so many Fall/Winter outfit essentials, I will keep posting on that!

What is your Fall/Winter essential? Let me know in the comment below! And don't forget to add me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter ;)

The cutest, yet so crazy, iPhone case!

Hi loves! I think I am just obsessed with teddy bears. I just got a teddy bear phone case, but WAIT!!! It is not a regular case that has teddy bear on it, but it is the actual plush toy teddy bear phone case!!

I got this on eBay for $25 :( booo!! But yay for free shipping! I was in doubt whether to buy it or not.. because honestly people will look at me in a strange way holding a teddy bear on my ear, haha! or typing on a teddy bear. But who cares right? So I bought it... and I am obsessed with it.

But to be honest with you guys... sometimes I still do not dare to show it to public. I would leave my phone in the car if I do not have my purse on, hee hee. So I don't know about it.. but I just could not resist!

The bad thing is you can't put it in your pocket, and I have to take off my phone to charge it or if I want to turn up or down the volume. It does have a whole for the charging cord, but trust me, I have spent ten minutes but it won't fit. And you actually can set up the volume without taking it off too.. but it would be so much faster if I take it off first and set the volume up. Otherwise, I have to look for the right button with just guessing it! Another bad thing about it is, you know if you have an iPhone, the screen will turn on when you just finish talking on the phone... Well I think this case is blocking the antenna or whatever it is.. So I have to press the home button, and click 'end call' manually. Ohhhh one more thing: you can't take a picture with your back camera! Because this case blocks the lens, and you have to take it off if you want to take a picture, haha.

So basically it has only one great thing which is the cuteness, but it has so many disadvantages. Probably you are thinking I just wasted 25 bucks for nothing, haha. Oh well..

By the way, it also sells Hello Kitty case, Stitch case (blue and pink), Brown Bear case, and Red Cloak Cat case. Who knows you might be interested in these plush toy cases... hee hee. (click here to buy)

Just a reminder: this is your last day to enter my MAC Giveaway! Click here to enter.

What do you think of this case? Isn't it crazy? cute? Or I am the one who is crazy? Hahaha. Leave in the comment below hun!

My current two biggest obsessions!

Hi beauties!!! Today I want to show you two things that I am obsessed with currently, and I think these two will stay on my favorite list for a long time. If you have seen my Target haul post, you might be able to guess it because I got these all from there :)

First is the straw hat!! OMG I do not know why I just found this baby in the shelf. I mean I knew that straw hat existed, but I never thought that I would love it or I would even ever purchase one. I was always skeptical about it. I thought it would look weird on me because not a lot of people wearing it in where I live. But I tried it on, and fell in love. Now I could not stop wearing it, sometimes I even wear it inside my house, hee hee. You can find straw hats probably everywhere because they are so on trend right now. I even found it at some of gas stations, haha. Target and Forever 21 has a lot of good selections of types and colors and they are very inexpensive as well, so go check it out if you are interested :)

Second thing is Revlon Lip Butter in Creamsicle. I knew this product was launched a few months ago and I am so late to try it out. When it first came out, people were obsessed with it. I was doubt that the color would be pigmented enough to show up on my lip. Well I was wrong. It is very moisturizing, and I love the pigmentation! It does show up on my lip! I only purchased the Creamsicle and I love the color. It is a peachy coral nude, and it suits my skin tone the best. Love love love. You can get these lip butters at any drugstores and they have 13 different shades.
p/s: I will do a separate review on this, and I will compare it with L'Oreal Lip Balm :)

What are your biggest obsessions at the moment? Leave in the comment below!! You can always tweet me or message me on Facebook as well :)

Meet my new roommate ;)

Hi lovelies!! Do you remember this post: Is the teddy bear too big or am I too small?  Yeah that giant teddy bear at Costco? Guess what.. One of the teddy bears is lucky and living with me now.

Let me introduce you...

This is TEDDY
I could not think of any other names.

No I did not buy it, but I got it as my birthday gift! (My birthday was in May 18th, in case you're wondering, hee hee).

Teddy is too big, and it is impossible for him to share bed with me because I don't have a king-size bed, hee hee. So he has to stay in my living room instead. Because of his giant size, I can sit on his lap while reading books or on my computer, how fun!

Anyway, sorry for this super random post, I might have bored you out. Just want to give you an update of my daily life! :p

LOVE YOU ALL,
Alexandra & Teddy

Is the teddy bear too big or am I too small?

Hi loves! It's been a while since I posted about my daily life. I went to Costco for grocery shopping the other day, and found this super giant teddy bear. That was seriously the biggest teddy bear I have ever seen in my life.

I am a really petite girl, I am only 5' tall guys.. And this teddy bear is taller than me! It is pretty heavy too, but of course I am still heavier. It is not like it has big heavy bones like me, haha.

I almost purchased it, but I didn't. I am not a stuff animals girl. I don't play with it, or obsessed with it. So, I did not know where to put it if I ended up buying it, LOL.

Have you ever seen a big teddy bear in your life? Share in the comment below! :)

TAG! 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty

Photo is from here
Hi everyone!! I have never done a TAG post before, so I am very excited to do my first tag right now! This tag is called 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty - basically there is seven beauty questions that I am going to answer (well one of the questions is not related to beauty at all..). This TAG has been going around on YouTube about a month, and since I am not a vlogger, I am going to make this as a post instead. Lets start!

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

I have so many inexpensive beauty items because I love deals (who doesn't love deals?;)) But, I think I have to say my e.l.f eyeshadow palettes are my most inexpensive beauty items I have. Each palette contains four gorgeous eyeshadows, they are very pigmented, and they are only $1 each!! I really can't complain. You can get these at Target.

My most expensive one will be Clarisonic Plus. It was freakin $225 and I did not use that much anymore right now. I did not know what I was thinking at that time.. I purchased this nearly three years ago when Clarisonic was still really hyped in the air. There is no skin care tool like it, so I saved my pocket money to get one.

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?

This is an easy question for me because I really do have love/hate relationship with nail polishes. I love to have my nails done, I love to see colors on my nails, I love to buy them too! But I am not a good manicure person... My nail polish will chip the next hour, or basically will do something that will make it look imperfect. Also, I hate removing nail polishes.. Usually I waited until it chipped badly (after two weeks mostly) then I'd remove it with a nail polish remover. And usually I won't repaint my nails. Oh, I paint my nails when really I have mood to do so. That's why you don't see many posts of nail polish on my blog, haha.

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?

I know I have a lot of beauty products that smell really good, but I am not a big fan of fragrances. So, this question confuses me because I do not know what to choose! Haha.. So, I decided to say MAC Tendertone in Hush Hush is my most delicious product. It smells like strawberry kiwi and I love it!

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
I'd say eye cream. I always neglect it, I do not why. Although my eye cream is right next to me when I am cleaning my face, I don't feel putting it in. I used a few different eye creams before and I never see big changes around my eye. I do have dark circles, but it is not so so bad. So, sometimes I just skip putting an eye cream on my eye, even though I know it will moisturize my eye area.

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
Definitely foundation. I don't have a perfect skin, my skin is far away from perfect, and foundation really helps me to even out my skin tone, makes my skin look flawless, and of course it gains my self confidence.

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

This is the question that I am talking about - the one that has no relation with beauty at all, LOL. My answer will be someone who can make me laugh because when I laugh, I am happy. In other words, someone who are funny, have sense of humor, but he knows when to be serious as well. I am pretty sure a lot of you will agree with me on this. Right beauties?

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
I would say gift cards from Sephora or Nordstrom, haha. I love to receive beauty products, but gift cards would be awesome!! Because I get to pick stuffs for free, haha.

Now, I am going to TAG you!!!! TAG, You're It!!! :)

Please please do this tag with me, I'd love to know about you too! You can leave in the comment below, or write it on my wall on Facebook. And please follow me on Twitter too! ;)

How do you like this TAG? Do you want me to do frequent TAG posts?

LOVE YOU!

I DYED MY HAIR! For the very first time...the story, the experience, the products I used

Dying my hair is one of the craziest things I have done. Seriously. I never dyed my hair before, my natural hair color is soooooo dark, it is not true blackest black, but it is like the darkest brown or soft black or maybe very black! I have no idea, you see a lot of my pictures, please judge, LOL.

I have been wanting to dye my hair since.... I even couldn't remember! Probably since I was in middle school, so it's been about ten years!! How sad!! The reason why I did not dye my hair earlier was because I was SOOOO afraid that the chemical would ruin my hair.

One thing that you do not know about me that I am very spontaneous. If I wanted to do something and I was able to do it at that moment, I'd do it right away. So, if you've seen my piercings on my ear, I did that without planning it at all. I was with my friends at downtown, and we were talking about piercings, I felt like doing it, so I went to Claire's (because it was at downtown too!) and got it done. That simple, haha.

So anyway, the background story of dying my hair was I woke up in the morning and felt like having brown hair. So I drove to CVS and got my own kit. Hahaha! Do you think it is ridiculous or crazy or normal? Please tell me in the comment below! LOL. (Hey you only live once! :p)

In this post, I wanna show you what colors/products I used and how I thought about it. So, if you liked the color, you could buy the same one and we'd have the same hair color! YAYY!

The first product I used was L'Oreal Superior Preference Sun-Kissed Caramel in Hi-Lift Natural Brown ($7.99). The reason why I bought this because the box says that it is designed to lighten the darkest hair. Hey! That sounds like me, haha. I did not use all the products that it came with because I was afraid my hair was going to turn really light and that was not what I wanted. So, after I felt like everything was applied evenly (applied in dry hair), I realized that I have only used a half of the product. Oh by the way, the color gel smells really really really strong! I did it in my bathroom and I almost could not breathe. Then, I waited for 30 - 40 minutes, rinsed it off, and could not wait to see the transformation.

Well.... my hair color kinda did not change at all. How sad!!! The reason why was I did not use enough product, and the manual said you could not use used products, so I decided to buy a new one.

The second one I got was L'Oreal Superior Preference True Brunettes in Ultra Light Ash Brown ($7.99). At first I was looking for the same color, but then I saw this one because it says FOR DARK HAIR ONLY. Hey, that sounds like me again! Haha.

This time, I almost used all of the products, probably just a quarter left. I applied it evenly onto my dry hair in open door so that I could breathe! Then I waited again for 40 minutes, rinsed it, and blowed dry it. Now I could see the transformation. It did not turn like it is on the box's picture, my hair came out like a reddish brown. I am honestly not really liking it, but I love that my hair now is lighter. I expected my hair would turn into ashy brown. It also says that the color will stay up to eight weeks, but I do not know if I want to dye it again after it is fading away. But I will let you know in the future! :) Let me know what you think of my new hair color, do you think black is better or brown? Be honest! Haha (see the before-after pictures at the bottom of the page)

So that's my behind the scene of my new hair color. I know it is so long and I apologize. This might be so unnecessary for some of you, but I just wanted to share my experiences. :)

Have any of you not dyed hair before? If you have, how was your first experience? If not, will you do it in the future or you're just loving your natural hair color? Do you guys have any good hair color recommendation designed for dark hair? Which one do you prefer - done it at home or professionally at a salon? (Oh the reason why I did not do it at a saloon because it is going to cost really expensive since my hair is long and it is gonna use up a lot of products). Please do share with me! I'd like to hear :)

I hope you guys find this helpful, and sorry if I am bored you out, haha. Have a great Sunday you all! Follow me on Twitter and Facebook if you haven't! ;)

Weekend Treat: Frozen Yogurt!

If I have to choose one type of food to live with, I'd say FROZEN YOGURT!! One thing about me, I am a food lover (I mean, who doesn't love food anyway? Lol). I love sugar-ish food - cookies, candies, snack bars, you name it! I know I know sugar is not good for you, but I always limit myself not to eat it too much. Anyway, back to the topic of the post: frozen yogurt. I am a yogurt lover, so when self-served frozen yogurt exists, I was sooooo excited. During summer, I used to eat it every single day! For lunch, dinner, supper, etc. Then I was thinking that this wasn't right, so now frozen yogurt is my weekend treat.

I went to my local frozen yogurt store because it contains natural real yogurt so not only it is delicious, but also it is healthy for me! Anyway..... I thought it would be interesting to show you what usually I put into my froyo (frozen yogurt for short) cup. I always get the exact same things every time I come, haha. Do you always do that too?:)

For frozen yogurt, I like to keep it simple... Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla (I know I know how boring it is). If they have Cake Batter, I'll get Cake Batter instead of Vanilla. ;)

Toppings = the heaven on froyo store! ;p I like to put some strawberries, coconut jelly, popping boba, cap n crunch, m&m's, heath bits, and butterfinger! I always get the same toppings all the time and I wouldn't get bored haha.

Yumm yummmmmmm
I loveeee frozen yogurt, I'd die for it, haha. Leave in the comment if you agree/disagree with me ;)

Do you like this kind of random post? I want you to know me better, and I hope to know you too! You guys are like my friends!:)

What's in My Shower??

Hi lovelies!! It is a random post on my daily life again. So yesterday I got nothing to do, so I decided to clean my shower/bath tub. I used scrubbing bubbles and it really made my shower and bath tub back to white again. As I was cleaning it, I thought it would be a fun idea to show you what's in my shower, haha. Do you think so too? Anyway, it is a random post. A random post comes from a random thought, right? ;)

So this is how my overall bathroom looks like, but I am not going into my sink and drawers because the post is going to be so long and I do not wanna bored you out of it. (but if you want me to do what's in my sink or drawers, let me know!!) :)

Now you know what is my favorite color :)
Can you spot olive oil near my sink? ;) (click here to read my olive oil post).
Lets head to the shower!!
First I have my razor on the left, it is Venus SPA Breeze 2-in-1 Razor. I like this razor because I can just use it alone without shave gel, so it is good when I am in a hurry. However, the refill cartridges are so expensive! I might discontinue using it after I am done with all the refills.
Then on the right side, I have Sweet Berry Kiss Bubble Bath that I got from Dollar Store for $1!!! I honestly have not used it yet ;p
Then below the Sweet Berry Kiss, I have Sweet Pea Bubble Bath from Bath and Body Works. I used to love having bubble bath, but now I do not do it as often as before anymore. That's why I have two bubble baths in my bath tub, LOL.

This is my brand new pink butterfly shower caddy! I got it at Target for $16. You can find it at kids bath section :p. Anyway, the reason why I bought the shower caddy was because I need one! I have so many products in my tub and it just gets everywhere and starts to stain it. I like to have everything organized and clean, so getting a shower caddy is a good decision!
So lets see what's in my shower caddy? :p
As I mentioned on my January Favorites post (click here to read), I LOVE the sweet pea scent from Bath and Body Works. So, I purchased this sweet pea body exfoliating scrub and I love it! It makes my skin so soft. Just FYI, exfoliate your body maximum twice a week.

Then I have my shower gel from Ulta called Shower Smoothie in Berrylicious. I bought this last year because it was on sale. I am almost running out of it now. Then next to my shower gel, I have my Simply U Moisturizing and Smoothing Shampoo. This is a new brand and I got it at Walmart. The reason why I bought this was because it is paraben and sulfate free.

Then, I have Simply Moisturizing and Smoothing Conditioner, my shave cream from Pure Silk in Raspberry Mist, and my Wen Cleansing Conditioner in Sweet Almond Mint that I got from January MyGlam bag (click here to see what is on my January MyGlam bag). I only use the Wen conditioner maybe once a week or two weeks. I use it as a deep conditioner, but I like to deep condition my hair with olive oil better (click here to read my Olive Oil post).

So that's all I got in my shower! Pretty common, huh? LOL. If you are wondering where I got my Polkadots shower curtain, I got it at Walmart last year, so I don't remember how much it was. But I notice that my local Walmart still sells it, so maybe yours do too! :)

What's in your shower? I'd like to know what's is your favorite shampoo, shower gel, shave gel, razor, etc! :) Let me know in the comment below! Don't forget to follow me on Twitter and 'like' my Facebook for more randomness on my daily life! :)

Much LOVE,
Alexandra

$1 Sweaters (Best Investment! LOL)

Hi loves!! I just want to share a quick post for you all. I went to Walmart yesterday, and saw Valentine's themed sweaters for sale for only $1!! The sweaters are from Hanes. I looovvee comfy and oversized sweaters. I wear it at home, for sleeping, even for doing errands out! Winter is not my favorite season, but I love when I get a chance to wear an oversized sweater.

All the sweaters on sale were all in size Large and X-Large. I bought two of the large ones. Even though the large size is too big for me, actually it almost fits me perfectly (as you can see in the picture, not bad right?).

I got a white and a hot pink one, and the quotes that are in the sweaters are just too cute!!

I am pretty sure they are still on sale right now, so if you like an oversized, comfy sweaters, I think you should get one too! Only for $1!

By the way, do you like this kind of random post? If you like it, I'll keep including it on my blog! It is just basically about what's going on my daily life. If I have something interesting to show you or to say to you (that is not beauty related), I'll post it up in this 'Daily Life' category. Let me know what you think in the comment below! or you can tweet me, 'wall' me too!! :)

Chillin' with my comfy sweaters,
Alexandra <3
