Sephora Haul Vol. 5

Hi beauties!! Wow it's been two months since I have done a Sephora haul before. This proves that I don't shop a lot, haha. Btw, I will always let you know what beauty products I got because I know sometimes people like to see what other people got, and I could see you guys love a haul post. So, this is not a bragging post, alright!? Hee hee.

Okay so I went to Sephora and I didn't get that many stuffs.. But they are something that I have not tried on before. So I am so excited to review it for you!

So first thing first is this foundation that I have been wanting to try it since last year! It is the Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation. The reason why I had delayed buying it because it is so freaking expensive, $55 for a foundation! OMG.... Anyway, I bought this foundation because it is paraben and sulfate free, so it won't break our skin out. It is full coverage and it dries into powder, so no powder necessary. Anyway, review on this coming up soon!! :)

After getting a new foundation, I need to get a new concealer too! It is Make Up For Ever Full Cover concealer ($32). I was recommended by the makeup artist at Sephora, he said that this concealer has an moisturizing ingredient that won't make our breakouts worst. It won't get rid of them, but at least it won't create new breakout. It is a full coverage concealer as well. And of course, more in-depth review on this coming up soon!! :)

Last but not least is a fan brush by Sephora. I have so many brushes but I don't have a fan brush! Fan brush is good for a light application. I have been using this to replace my blush brush actually.. I use this to contour and to apply blush, and it gives you a more natural look because its light application :) Would you like a tutorial on how I use the fan brush? Let me know!

So that's all what I got guys! Have you been hauling this month? If you have, tell me what you got! If you haven't, what products are you planning to buy? Lets share! :)

Lets be friends too!

You have 4 days left to enter my MAC GIVEAWAY!! Click here to enter :)

I love you,

Target Haul

Hi beauties! It has been a long time since I have done a haul post. Well, the fact is I don't do too much shopping lately, which is good for my savings, right? ;)

My best friend, Vina, came to town yesterday, so we had lunch, got ice cream, and we went to our favorite place, Target. I did not plan to get anything, but of course I would not be empty-handed once I got off from Target, hee hee. So I got a few things, and I want to share with you all!

The first thing I got is this straw hat. I have been wanting a straw hat for the longest time in my life. Also, straw hats are so in trend right now! I thought it would not look good on me, but I tried it on, and I love it at the first sight. Vina also said I look good with it, so I 'added to cart...' It wasn't that expensive either, I believe it was $12.99. Target has so many kinds, but I picked this one because it is simple and will match with any outfit I have. FYI, Forever 21 sells them too, and some of them are cheaper :)

The next one is Neutrogena All-in-One Acne Control ($9.99). I saw this in magazine before and was really curious about it. You guys know I have problems of acne and acne scars, and this facial treatment says that it can fade the appearance of acne marks as well as clear present acne. Also, it can prevent future breakouts. How cool? It is like everything you need to get a clear skin. So I do not know yet if this really works, but of course I will let you know!

Okay I might be SO late on this, but I finally decided to try out these two babies. The left one is Revlon Color Burst Lip Butter in Creamsicle ($7.49), and L'Oreal Lip Balm SPF 15 in Caramel Comfort ($7.95). Both are pretty nude-ish shades because my lip is so pigmented that I need to tone it down, haha. Anyway, the reason why I bought these two was because I could not decide which one was better. Don't worry, I will surely let you know and do a comparison between these two :)

Let me know what you were hauling recently! I always loveeee to see what others get :) You can comment in the comment below, or post on my Facebook wall, tweet me on Twitter!

MAC Haul: Tres Cheek, Reel Sexy, In Extra Dimension

Hello beauties! MAC just came out with a huge collection again at one time! It is like three different collections and were launched at the same day. That was quite overwhelming, wasn't it? So I got some products of each collection, I did not get that many, but enough to show and to review for you all! The three collections are Reel Sexy, Tres Cheek, and In Extra Dimension. I got an eye kohl liner from Reel Sexy, a blush from Tres Cheek and two metallic eyeshadows from In Extra Dimension.

So today I am gonna be showing you what I got, but I am going to review them more detail later. I am in the process of testing and reviewing them right now. :)

Lets start off with Extra Dimension first. I got two eyeshadows, they look like cream eyeshadows, but actually they are just powder eyeshadows with metallic finish. I got Modern Pewter, which is like an olive color with a hint of gold, and Sweet Heat which is a gold peachy champagne color ($20 each for 0.07oz). Click here for its review.

Tres Cheek contains six powder blushes, and they have satin finishes. most of them are pink shades and I felt they were kind of look alike. So I picked Pink Tea, which is a pale neutral pink ($20 for 0.21oz). Click here for its review.

Lastly, I picked an eye kohl liner from the Reel Sexy collection called Heirloom ($15 for 0.05oz). It has four eye kohls, one of them is Smolder, which is my all time favorite black eyeliner (it is a permanent product!). So, I picked the color Heirloom because it is the most unique color of all four, and I don't have that kind of eyeliner color yet. It is a bright grey lavender with metallic finish, and I think this is a perfect color for the spring and summer. Click here for its review.

Again, I will do review posts on these products soon! Leave in the comment below on what do you think of these collections. Follow me on Twitter and Like my Facebook page, so that you'll know when I have a new post! :)

Sephora (Vol.4) & Body Shop Haul!

Happy Saturday beauties! I just realized I haven't done any haul post this month (on the side note, I did not do any shopping lately, which is good! haha) Anyway, I got a 10 percent VIB coupon from Sephora, and I have been wanting to buy NARS blush in Exhibit A, but you know how ridiculously expensive NARS blush is -_-" so 10 percent could give a little help ;) But GUESS WHAT????? I forgot to use my 10 percent coupon!! I have paid everything, and when I was about to save my wallet into my bag, I saw the coupon was still sitting there. OMG Alexandra! So I think I am just gonna use it next time.

Anyway that was my silly experience. You must be like "now get back to the haul Alexandra!" haha. I only got a couple of things from Sephora and one thing from Body Shop. I rarely shop at Body Shop, this was actually my second time going in there (and my second product I purchased from there, too! :p).

So lets start with Body Shop first, since it is only one product.

I got this Facial Massager ($8) because I heard you need to massage your face once a while or daily in order to transfer toxins on your face to your body, so that it won't give any ugly things to your face. I never go to spa in my entire life, hence I never get a facial massage done before. I have not tried it out yet and will do more research about it first, then I surely will let you know how it works or how well it works, probably sometimes next week :)

Now move on to Sephora!

First thing is the NARS Exhibit A blush ($28), I know you must be like, "that's a crazy color!" I agree. This is my first and only bright blush I owned. Exhibit A is a bright orange, but it goes sheer as long as you don't take too much product. It has a matte finish too! I just realized that I did not own a lot of matte blushes, and I actually like matte blushes so much! Anyway, I haven't tried this out yet, but again will let you know! I hope it looks pretty on my cheeks, otherwise, you need to go back to the store, Exhibit A, heehee.

Second and the last thing is Boscia Luminizing Black Mask ($34). It is an all natural peel-off mask that will clear your face from dirt and make your pores look smaller. I have been wanting to try this for a long time because I loveeee mask if you do not know yet, and I love it more than exfoliators. I have so many face masks, but I don't have a peel-off one yet. I heard a lot of good reviews about this too. They said you can see the dirt and impurities in the mask after you peel it off, which is pretty cool. I am pretty sure I will see a lot of dirty things on it, haha! Anyway, again I haven't tried this out yet either, I am planning to try it tomorrow night, so that I can start my week with a fresh skin, haha. And of course, I will let you know how it goes! :)

What is your haul for this week? Have you ever tried any of these products yet? What is your experience with it? Please share with me! I'd love to hear it :) Leave in the comment below, or follow me on Twitter, tweet me, or post on my Facebook wall.

And also, let me know what post you'd like to see next. I kinda need more inspirations here, haha.

1 DAY LEFT to enter my FREE giveaway!!! Click here to enter :)

I hope you were enjoying your Saturday!!! Talk to you soon!

Pretty and Cute Haul (and reviews, sorta... ;p)

Click here to Pretty and Cute site

Hi lovelies! Do you remember my last month post about "What is BB Cream?" (click here to read)? I mentioned that I have tried both Asian BB Creams and Western BB Creams, and I personally liked the Asian ones better. I tried the Smashbox BB Cream and it broke me out (click here to read my experience with Smashbox BB Cream), whereas Asian BB Creams do not have bad reactions on my skin. Anyway, since I wrote that post, I wanted to try more Asian BB Creams from different brands since I have had good experiences from them.

You can find all of the things that I got from Pretty and Cute site. It basically sells a lot of Korean and Japanese beauty products from makeup, skin care, hair care, tools and accessories to fashion and men's stuff. My most favorite thing from Pretty and Cute is that you can earn rewards! Every dollar you spend earns one point, then you use your rewards balance to purchase products as you checkout. How cool?!

So I was looking for a BB Cream that suits my skin best and since they have so many to choose from the site, I ended up buying two BB Creams. My biggest skin problem is acne scarring and hyperpigmentation, so I asked a suggestion through Pretty and Cute's Twitter, and they are so kind and suugested me to get Fairydrops BB Creams. However, I heard a lot of good reviews for Skin79 BB Creams Hot Pink. I also got a super cute bow fringe! Oh and one more thing, I will be doing a separate review post on each item, so that this post won't be super long. Here I am just going to tell you what the product is and what is it for. :)

I apologize for the long intro! Lets get started!

  1. Skin79 Hot Pink Super Plus Bebbles Balm ($21.96 for 40g) - this BB Cream has a whitening effect that is suitable for skin that has hyperpigmentation because it can lighten those dark spots making it invisible. Also, it has SPF 25 that can protect skin from the sun rays and the Phyto Complex formula which can moisturize your skin and let the skin breath under your makeup. It is also a wrinkle free BB Cream, and helps to control sebum from our face, so that your skin won't look oily throughout the day!
  2. Fairydrops Candy Bar BB Cream ($39.99 for 35g) - like I said before, this BB Cream was recommended by Pretty and Cute because it is suitable for covering scars and freckles. The bad thing about this is it has no SPF, but I understand because this was meant for looking flawless on camera, and SPF formula usually has that whitening effect that can make us look 'white' while on camera. This BB Cream is waterproof, oil-free, shine-free, lightweight as well as able to smooth and soothe the skin. Lastly, Fairydrops BB Cream has the ability to diffuse lights in order to hide wrinkles.
  3. Lioele Bow Fringe - I think this product is really creative because it can keep our bangs/fringe out of our eyes. Just stick this bow to your hair and it will help you hair to get out of the way!
Again, you can get all of these and other cute products at Pretty and Cute site. All these products were purchased by my own money. Pretty and Cute did not compensate me for writing this haul and reviews. And look forward to review posts for each of the products!

CVS Haul Vol. 1

As I mentioned in my COVERGIRL Blast Flipstick before (click here to see), I am going to pick up some more neutral colors on this line. So, I went to CVS because I had a discount coupon. Well, I ended up purchasing a few more products that I want to try it out. So let me show you what I got!

As you can see, I got two mascaras, and one of them is from the Physician Formula Organic Wear Lash Boosting Mascara ($9.95 for 0.26oz). I have tried the Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Jumbo Lash Mascara before and I loved it. It really gives me a lot of volume, but the downside of it is it falls out like crazy. So, I purchased this in hope the formula will avoid from falling out. I will let you know how it goes!

The second mascara I got is the Maybelline Illegal Length in Blackest Black ($8.99 for 0.22oz). I accidentally got the Waterproof one, and I never like waterproof mascara, and I have thrown the packaging away, so I don't think I could return this. So, we'll see how this is going to be. It is said that it contains fibers that will make your lashes 4mm longer. I haven't tried this one yet, but I'll definitely let you know good/bad things about it :)

I did a review on Simple Eye Make-up Remover a few days ago (click here if you haven't seen it). Simple is a new brand from UK, and it contains of natural ingredients that won't irritate your skin, and it is great for sensitive skin. Since I have a sensitive skin (and a $2 off coupon for this brand, lol), so I decided to try out the Exfoliating Facial Wipes and Eye Make-up Remover. I haven't tried the Exfoliating Facial Wipes yet because I am still using my old one, but the eye make-up remover has done a great job.

Last but not least is the reason why I went to CVS, haha. It is the COVERGIRL Blast Flipstick in Snap ($7.99 for 0.13oz). It seems like this shade is the most neutral one. When I applied it onto my pout, it gives me a beautiful peachy sheen color with a metallic brown on top.

This is the color when the peachy tone is applied the bottom, and then is layered with the metallic brown on top of it

MAC Haul: Shop MAC, Cook MAC, Vera Haul Part 2

I went to MAC counter yesterday to check out the Nicki Minaj lipstick and I actually planned to buy it. However, after I swatched the color on my hand, I did not really like it. The color is a pretty pink with yellow undertone, but it is so bright like a neon pink. I do not think I could pull it off. Well guess what.. I ended up buying more products from the Shop MAC, Cook MAC, and Vera. Again, I am working on a review of each of the products I got, so please look forward to it! This post is just to give you an idea what I got and what they look like. Don't forget to follow my blog, my Twitter, and add me on Facebook so that you'll be notified when a new post is up :)

VERA

MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Lord It Up

MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Lord It Up
When MAC first came up with the Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner, I have been eying for Lord It Up. I like other colors too, but this one attracted me the most. The color is just so pretty - it is a brown bronzed with pearl flex in it. More in-depth review with more pictures and swatches on this is coming up soon! :) (Click here for the review, photos and swatches)

SHOP MAC

Shop MAC Kissable Lipcolour

Shop MAC Kissable Lipcolour in Flaunting It
MAC Kissable Lipcolour had been promoted in the Peacocky collection in 2010. I love the formula of it - simply it is a lipgloss but in a lip creme formula. MAC offered 12 different shades on Kissable Lipcolours in the Peacocky collection, but in the Shop MAC collection, it offers five shades out of the twelve, they are: Enchantee (light blue pink), Flaunting It (grey mauve), Woo Me (light pinky nude), So Vain (muted dirty coral), Scan-delicious (blue fuchsia). I have owned Enchantee, Woo Me and So Vain. So now I only got Flaunting It, which is a grey mauve color. More in-depth review with more pictures and swatches on this is coming up soon! :) Click here for the review, photos and swatches.

Cook MAC
MAC Studio Careblend/Pressed Powder in Dark

MAC Careblend/Pressed Powder in Dark
MAC Careblend/Pressed Powder of the Cook MAC collection comes with two shades: medium and dark. The reason why I picked the dark one is because the color is so perfect for contouring. It is not orange nor deep, but when you apply it, it really looks like you have a healthy natural tan skin. I actually just tried it on today, and I loved how it looked, especially on photograph. So, again, more in-depth reviews on this will be up soon, lovelies! I will include more pictures and swatches :) Click here for the review.

Thank you for stopping by! Don't forget to follow my blog, tweet me on Twitter, and become my friend on Facebook. I always notify you when I have a new post, and I'd love to talk with you!

MAC Haul: Shop MAC, Cook MAC Part 1

Hi lovelies! If you are a MAC fan, you all know that recently just came out with a new collection called Shop MAC, Cook MAC and Vera. This is a HUGE collection you guys.. It is impossible for me to purchase all of the things in the collection, and I only like some of them. Anyway, so I got a face powder from Vera collection, and a cremeblend blush and an eyeshadow quad from Shop MAC. I did not get anything from the Cook MAC just because nothing I was interested in. I was about to purchase the fluidline (gel liners) and tendertone (fruity lip balms) from Cook Vera, but I tried to limit myself, haha. Oh and also, this is just a haul post. I will be doing more in depth reviews on them really soon with more pictures and swatches, and a tutorial using the eyeshadow quad. So, follow me on Twitter, be my friend on my Facebook, or just follow this blog so that you know when a new post is up! :)

VERA
MAC Vera Pearlmatte Face Powder in Flower Fantasy
MAC Vera comes out with two different kinds of face powder: Flower Fantasy and Sunday Afternoon. I picked the Flower Fantasy because it is more a mixture of pale peachy pink and pale coral, whereas the Sunday Afternoon is more to bright pink. I have a fair skin with yellow undertone, so peachy pink suits me best. If you have a fair skin with pink undertone, then you might wanna get Sunday Afternoon. Again, more review and swatches on this is coming up soon! (Click here for the review)

Shop MAC
Shop MAC Cremeblend Blush in Restores Dazzle

I love MAC Cremeblend Blush! It is easy to blend and long wearing. For the Shop MAC collection, they came with three cremeblend blushes: Florida, Optimistic Orange and Restores Dazzle. The reason why I picked Restores Dazzle was because I have owned Florida before (it featured on another collection around two years ago) and I am not a fan of orange, but I'll try it out in the future. Restores Dazzle reminds me of MAC Powder Blush in Plum Foolery in a cream formula, and it is a dark plummy color, so it will look natural and pretty on your cheeks :) Please look forward to review post on this baby which will be up soon! :) (Click here for the review)

Shop MAC Eyeshadow Quad in Call Me Bubbles
This eyeshadow quad attracted me the most. I fell in love the first time I saw this. It seems like it has bright colors, but I could imagine it will give you a soft bright yet natural look on your eyes, perfect for spring! I cannot wait until I try this baby out! Tutorial coming up soon you guys! Anyway, Shop MAC comes in three kinds of eyeshadow quads: Call Me Bubbles, Shop & Drop, and Colour Added. Shop & Drop is the most dramatic one with shades of purple and dark navy blue, this is perfect for smoky eyes. Colour Added is dramatic, yet colorful with yellow and blue-grey shades. Click here for the full review of Call Me Bubbles Eyeshadow Quad.

I love you all,

Sephora Haul Vol. 3

It is time for Sephora haul! :)

If you see my Sephora Haul Vol. 2 (click here for Vol. 1), you might know that I was going to return the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream (click here for my review on it) and Alterna One Night Highlight. So, I went to Sephora to exchange these two things with something else. So, let me show you what I got...

Left to right: Sephora eyeshadow in Red Wine, Sephora Eyeliner Waterproof Smoky Cream Liner in Cafe, NARS Eyeshadow in Ondine, NARS Eyeshadow in Galapagos

First, it is the Sephora Colorful Mono Eyeshadow in Red Wine. I was really planning to find a matte deep burgundy eyeshadow, so I went to NARS counter, Too Faced, Stila or should I mention every cosmetic brand that my Sephora carries, but I could not find the color that I wanted. So, I went to Sephora section, and found this baby! It is only $12 and very high pigmented. I never owned a Sephora eyeshadow before and I am pretty impressed with this. Tutorial coming up soon! :)

Next is this smoky creme eyeliner from Sephora as well, and I got it in the color Cafe, which is a matte dark brown. I love cream eyeliner, but I did not own a brown color, so I picked this one. OMG you guys.. this is going to be on my "New Love" post soon. Basically, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this baby! Let me tell you..this things is super pigmented and it is only for ten bucks! A review will be coming up soon. Check back later! :)

The third one that I got is NARS eyeshadow in Ondine ($24). When I swatched it at the store, I was in love! So I bought it. Then, when I swatched it again for photography, it does not look as pretty as it was at the store. I don't know why.. I mean look at the swatch's picture above. I tried my best to pull out the color, but it just does not want to come out. But anyway, it is a plum taupe with a hint of gold shimmer. I picked out this color because it is very unique and looks really elegant. So, I am going to try it out on my eye lids soon and see what happens with its pigment. Hopefully it won't be as bad as the swatch on my hand.

Last but not least is NARS eyeshadow in Galapagos ($24). This one's quality is not the same as Ondine. Super pigmented and pretty! Galapagos is a medium bronze with gold glitter and satin finish. I can imagine this is going to be so pretty in smoky brown look or even wear it alone. Can't wait to do a tutorial with it!

So, that's all I got. I love exchanging things because I can get new stuffs without paying! haha..

Share me your hauls too! Leave in the comment below! ;)

lOve,
Alexandra
