Cleopatra Inspired Look

Hello my beautiful readers!!

It is the time of the year where everybody dress up into characters, decorate their places, eat pumpkin pies, and carve pumpkins. This year's Halloween I chose to dress up as an Egyptian Princess, or Cleopatra because I love her dramatic as well as sultry make-up look. So, I decided to make a tutorial of it. The look certainly focuses on the eyes - dark and sharp eye liner. Here, I am going to show you the easiest techniques and tips and tricks to achieve the look.

I really really love this look, and I had so much fun creating it for you all! Hope you guys have a wonderful Halloween! If you still have no plan yet what are you gonna be, you can just dress up as a  Cleopatra! All you need is a white dress, and lots of gold accessories.

Ok let's jump on the tutorial!

Products used

MAC Paint Pot in Greenstroke

Fall Fave: Benefit Sugarbomb Blush

Hello my beautiful readers!

In the past couple of weeks, I have been using the same blush over and over again, and that is Benefit blush in Sugarbomb. I owned this blush for quite a long time actually. The first time I tried on my cheeks, I did not like it at all. I felt it was not pigmented enough, it was just not satisfying.

However, the last two weeks, I put it on again, and OMG! I don't know why it suddenly became the most beautiful blush ever!

It consists of four different soft colors: pink, peach, nude, and purple. But, when you put it on, it creates a natural, beautiful glow on your cheeks. It won't look too pink or too coral, it was just the perfect shade, especially for to go blush.

The best thing of this blush is the coverage is buildable. The first coat you put on, you will barely see anything. The second one, you will get a subtle glow. The third one, you will see a bit of color and its glow. Usually I put on three to four coats (four coats even still do not look like it's overdone!)

The blush has no shimmer, but it has a satin finish. I think this is where the glow comes from.

I apply it with a blush brush, of course. My favorite blush brush is MAC 109. It actually comes with the brush, but I never use it. I don't recommend it though.

Smile, then apply it onto your apple of your cheeks.

You can purchase it at your local Sephora, or buy it online. The downside of this blush is kind of pricey, it is $28.

This product I purchased it with my own money. Benefit did not sponsor me to do this post at all.

Now tell me, what do you think of this blush? will you purchase it?

Barbie Inspired Look

Hello beautifuls!

Sorry I have been MIA for these few days - schoolwork keeps coming! Once I get done with one, then the other one comes. Anyway, back to the purpose of this post.. today's look is inspired by Barbie! I thought it was a good idea if you plan to transform as a Barbie for Halloween, or if you have not planned yet what you're gonna be for Halloween, then you can be a Barbie! :)

So, today's look is using bright colors of eyeshadow (of course pink is included!). I use Coastal Scents 88 Palette. Like its name, the palette contains 88 eyeshadows - from natural, bright, and smokey colors. If you do not have it yet, I highly recommend to get one! Plus, it is affordable too! 88 high quality eyeshadows for only $18.95. You only can get it online, click here to purchase.

Ok, lets move on to the tutorial!

Products used:

MAC Eyeshadow in Nanogold (limited edition, but use any gold shimmer color from the palette)

The finished look

As I posted this post, I thought why did not I use all the eyeshadows from the palette? Well, at first I did not think that I was gonna be using the palette. So, I started using MAC products, then I needed a hot pink eyeshadow. From there, I started to realize, why didn't I use the palette from the first place?

So, if you do not have these MAC products I was using, no biggie! Because the palette covers it all! :)

Now, lets put your Barbie costume on! Or actually just wear any party dress that looks princessy!
Hope you like the look!
