Teal Out the Night

Hey everyone!

In previous post, I said that I was gonna be doing a teal look, and yes today's post is gonna be it! However, I am not using MAC Double Feature, instead I am using a new cosmetic line of Salma Hayek called NUANCE, where you can find it in your local CVS.

This look is definitely great for girls night out!

I am gonna stop rambling, and lets get into the tutorial! (click the pictures for a larger view)

steps by steps
  1. First off, of course, prime your eyes for keeping the eyeshadows out from creasing. My favorite eye primer is currently Benefit Stay Don't Stray
  2. Use the NUANCE Palette, take color number 1 (shimmery light teal color), and apply it onto your lid with MAC 239
  3. Apply color number 2 (matte grey color) onto your crease with Sigma E35. This also helps you to blend color #1 out.
  4. Take color number 3 (dark forest green), and place it in the outer corner your eye with Sigma E35. Then, blend it in windshield motion with Sigma E40
  5. Highlight your browbone, which is right under the arch of your brow, and inner corner of your eye with color number 4 (shimmery champagne color) with Sigma E40
  6. If you are satisfied with it, go ahead and apply black eyeliner and mascara. However, smokey eyes is like my signature look, so I wanted to darken it up since it is a night look anyway! :) So, take any matte black eyeshadow, I used Stila eyeshadow in Makalu. Apply it onto your outer corner, then blend it again in windshield motion with Sigma E40
  7. Line your lower lash line with color number 3 with Sigma E30
  8. Then, also line the outer corner of your lower lash line with Stila in Makalu with Sigma E30.
  9. Line your upper lash line and water line with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil Liner in Zero.
  10. Curl your lashes and apply two coats of Rimmel New Volume Accelerator Mascara in Black.
You're done!

Now lets move on to the face...

steps by steps
  1. Apply your favorite foundation all over your face with Sigma F80. My favorite is Lioele Triple Solutions BB Cream
  2. Cover your dark circles or any imperfections with Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer in Medium with Sigma F70. Pat it on with the brush, blend it with your ring finger.
  3. Set everything up with a face powder, like Palladio Rice Powder in Natural with a powder puff.
  4. Contour your cheeks with Benefit Hoola Bronzer using MAC 109. Apply it also onto your temples, jawlines, and neck.
  5. Sweep NARS Orgasm Blush onto the apple of your cheeks with MAC 109
For lips, use any nude or nude rosy pink lipsticks. Add lipgloss if you want to :) I used MAC Lipstick in Creme d' Nude, then I top it off with MAC Lipstick in Dressmaker Dressmaker (limited edition).

And now you're ready to dance all night! :)

Love y'all,

MAC Double Feature 1

Hey everyone!

I recently just purchased one of the new MAC collections called Colourzations. It basically features Pro Palette Eye Shadow that contains two eyeshadow of each palette, and four colors of Technakohl Liner. I got two of the Pro Palette: Double Feature 1 and Double Feature 4.

Double Feature 1 contains gold and purple eyeshadows, which are my absolute favorite combinations! and Double Feature 4 contains teal and brown - I rarely do teal, this is going to be a challenge! Look up for the tutorial soon! :) And right now, I am going to do a tutorial on Double Feature I first.

Lets get started!

steps by steps
  1. Prevent your eyeshadows from creasing by applying Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original all over your lid with your finger.
  2. Take the gold eyeshadow from MAC Double Feature 1, and apply it onto your lid with MAC 239
  3. Then, take the purple from the palette, and sweep it back and forth onto your crease with Sigma E35
  4. If you are satisfied with just two eyeshadows, then you're done. Go ahead apply your black eyeliner and mascara. But, I like to add more drama, so I apply MAC Beauty Marked onto my outer corner with Sigma E35. Then, I blend it slightly to the crease. I just want to darken the outer corner, not the entire crease because I do not want to ruin the purple eyeshadow from the palette :)
  5. Take MAC Beauty Marked again with Sigma E30, then apply it onto half of your lower lash line.
  6. Line your upper lash line with MAC Smolder, then kinda smudge it out with Sigma E30
  7. Line your water line with MAC Smolder
  8. Curl your lashes and apply Lancome Definicils Mascara in Deep Black onto your upper and lower lash.
You're done!

Move on to the face..

  3. Pat Palladio Rice Powder in Natural to set your foundation and concealer up. I am using a powder puff.
  4. Contour your cheeks with Benefit Hoola Bronzer with MAC 109. Apply it also in the temples, jawlines, and all over your neck.
  5. Sweep Benefit Blush in Dandelion in the apple of your cheeks with MAC 109
Now you're off to go!

From the title above, probably you can predict what is the look going to be. I used L'Oreal HiP Eyeshadow Duo in Saucy mainly, and this really represents beautiful cinnamon colors! Also, this look is perfect for Fall!

  1. Prime your lids with Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer with your finger. This helps for the eyeshadows to stay longer.
  2. Draw a line on your lid with NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Gold, then blend it with your finger up to the crease, but mainly focus the color on the lid.
  3. Take the orange-y eyeshadow from L'Oreal HiP Eyeshadow Duo in Saucy, then pat it on the lid with Sigma E55 on top of the NYX Gold
  4. Apply the dark brown color from L'oreal HiP Eyeshadow Duo in Saucy onto your crease with Sigma E35. Focus on the outer corner in order to darken it up. Then, blend it out back and forth with Sigma E40
  5. Take MAC Gorgeous Gold, and apply it in the inner corner of your eye with Sigma E55
  6. Again take MAC Gorgeous Gold, and highlight your brow bone (under your brow) using Sigma E40
