Army Green

Hey Everyone!

In this post, I am going to show you how to create a smokey look using green eyeshadows. Green eyeshadows are best for brown eyes, but don't worry! It looks beautiful on other eye colors too! Not many people wearing greens today, so now it is your time to show your friends how you can pull off green eyeshadows!

Let's get started with the eyes first...

the finished look
MAC Eyeshadow in Plumage, Humid, Carbon, and Vanilla, Make Up For Ever Eyeshadow in #84,
Rimmel Lash Accelerator in Black, MAC Greasepaint stick in Greensmoke, Stila Kajal Eye Liner in Onyx.

MAC Humid, MAC Carbon, MAC Vanilla, MUFE #84

MAC Plumage

Left to Right: MAC Vanilla, MAC Carbon, MUFE 84, MAC Humid, MAC Plumage,
MAC Greasepaint stick in Greensmoke
Sigma E40, Sigma E55, Sigma E35, Sigma E30, Sonia Kashuk Bent Eye Liner
  1. Prime your eyes with an eye primer. I was using Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance (I forgot to include it in the picture!)
  2. Draw a line in with MAC Greasepaint stick in Greensmoke in your upper lashline, then blend it up to your crease with your finger (you'll see when the color fades up, that means it is blended). This product was a limited edition, but you can skip this step. I used it just because I wanted the green color looked more vibrant.
  3. Take MAC Humid and apply it in the lid with Sigma E55
  4. Apply MUFE 84 in your crease using Sigma E35 in a windshield motion.
  5. Take MAC Plumage, and apply it in the outer corner with Sigma E35 to darken it up. Then, blend it with a clean blending brush like Sigma E40
  6. Optional - if you want the color more smokey, apply a matte black eyeshadow (MAC Carbon) in the outer corner (on top of Plumage) with Sigma E35, then blend it with Sigma E40
  7. Line your lower lashline with MAC Plumage using Sigma E30
  8. Highlight your browbone using MAC Vanilla with Sigma E40.
  9. Line your upper lashline and water line with Stila Kajal Eye Liner in Onyx
  10. Curl your lashes and apply Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara in Black
You're done!!

Lets move on to the face!

Palladio Rice Powder in Natural, Lioele Triple Solutions BB Cream, Benefit Hoola Bronzer, NARS Laguna Bronzer,
Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer in Medium, MAC Blush in Peachykeen

MAC 109, Sigma F84, Sigma F70
  1. Apply Lioele Triple Solutions BB Cream all over your face with Sigma F84
  2. Cover your dark circles with Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer in Medium with Sigma F70, then blend it with your finger.
  3. Pat Palladio Rice Powder in Natural with a powder puff evenly.
  4. Contour your cheeks with Benefit Hoola Bronzer and NARS Laguna Bronzer mixed together with MAC 109
  5. Sweep MAC Peachykeen blush in the apple of your cheeks with MAC 109
  6. Spray a make-up setting spray to set your make-up, so it won't melt off during the day. I like Urban Decay All Nighter
You're done!

MAC Viva Glam V, MAC Lipglass in Scottish Lilt

Left to Right: MAC Lipglass in Scottish Lilt, MAC Viva Glam V
  1. Apply any nude lip color like MAC Viva Glam V.
  2. Apply any nude lipgloss like MAC Scottist Lilt (limited edition)

And there you have it!

You can use any green colors you have, but I would recommend you to use army greens, like dark greens (just avoid lime greens!).

So how do you like it?

Happy trying!
