Red Burgundy

Hey everyone!

Pulling out a red eyeshadow is always such an hassle, and when should we wear a red eyeshadow anyway? BUT, red plummy burgundy eyeshadow is always so flattering and wearable for a day or a night look.

Curious? Let's get started with the eyes...

the finished look

steps by steps
  1. Prime your eyes with Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer with your finger.
  2. Take MAC Paint Pot in Constructivist with your finger, then apply it from the lid up to the crease. Blend it with your finger.
  3. Apply MAC Twinks on your lid with Sigma E55
  4. Take MAC Cork with Sigma E35, then apply it in the crease. This also helps to blend the MAC Twinks, so the two colors will create a gradation from reddish brown to light brown.
  5. If you want a darker look, apply MAC Cross-Cultural (limited edition) in the outer corner with Sigma E35. Then, blend it with Sigma E40
  6. Highlight under your brow with any eyeshadow that matches or closes to your skin tone color. I used MAC Vanilla
  7. Line your lower lash line with MAC Cross-Cultural using Sigma E30
  8. Line your upper lash line and water line with L'Oreal HIP Cream Eyeliner in Black, using the brush that comes with it.
  9. Curl your lashes and apply a coat or two of Covergirl Lashblast Mascara in Black
You're done!

Now let's move on to the face!

 face brushes

steps by steps
  1. Apply Lioele Triple Solutions BB Cream all over your face with Sigma F84
  2. Have dark circles? Apply Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer in Medium under your eyes with Sigma F70. Then, blend the concealer with your ring finger.
  3. Pat Palladio Rice Powder in Natural with a powder puff evenly.
  4. Contour your cheeks with Benefit Hoola Bronzer. Also apply it in the temples, jawlines, and all over your neck with MAC 109.
  5. Sweep MAC Pink Cult (limited edition) in the apple of your cheeks with MAC 109
You're done!

Useful notes:
  • If you do not have MAC Paint Pot in Constructivist, you can skip it! But, if you have a dark brown cream eyeshadow, feel free to use it because that's basically Constructivist is. I used a dark brown cream eyeshadow as a base just to make the red burgundy eyeshadow (MAC Twinks) more vibrant.
  • MAC Cork is basically just a matte soft brown.
  • MAC Cross-Cultural is a matte dark brown.
  • MAC Pink Cult looks like MAC Well-Dressed, but it is a soft pink blush with no shimmer. But, use any of your favorite blushes!
