A Pop of Electric Blue

Hey everyone!

Today I am going to show you my favorite make up look especially for the summer! That is, a bright color on your lower lashes, but natural look on eye lids. Here I am using a blue green color, and I called it electric blue, on my lower lashes. You can use any bright color you like! Purple, green, pink, yellow, etc. Then, for the eye lids color, I am using coppery burgundy look, but still look natural. You really do not want a bright or dramatic on your lids because it does not go too well with the bright color.

This look is good when you do not want to have super bright eyeshadows in your entire lids, but you still get that a pop of eyeshadow color. It will brighten your eyes and you'll get the attention! :)

Let's get started..

Start off with the most fun part - the eyes..

see that electric blue?

MAC Eyeshadows from the palette: Sketch, Handwritten, Covergirl Lashblast Mascara in Black, Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance, Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara #10 (Black), Stila Kajal Eye Liner in Onyx (Black),
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Electric, LORAC Eyeshadows in Tease Me.

The swatch of the eyeshadows
Left to Right: Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Liner in Electric, MAC Sketch Eyeshadow (dark burgundy purple), MAC Handwritten Eyeshadow (dark brown), LORAC from Tease Me Duo Eyeshadow: light blue and copper.

Sigma E35, Sigma E40, Stila #15 brush
  1. Start off with priming your eyes with Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance to help prevent the eyeshadows creasing through out the day! I just used my finger and spread it evenly in all over your eyes.
  2. Take copper eyeshadow from LORAC Tease Me, and put it in your eye lids with the shader brush from Stila #15 brush. This Duo Eyeshadows was limited edition from LORAC Summer 2011 collection. You might not be able to get it anymore, but use any coppery color, or any natural browns you have!
  3. Apply MAC Eyeshadow in Handwritten in your crease with Sigma E35, and sweep it back and forth.
  4. Take MAC Eyeshadow in Sketch, and just put it in the outer corner of your crease with Sigma E35
  5. Then, blend the Sketch eyeshadow back and forth with a blending brush like Sigma E40, so that the Handwritten and Sketch mix together and create a gradation from light to dark.
  6. Line your lower lashes with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Electric
  7. Take the light blue color from LORAC Tease Me, and place it on top of the Electric; use pencil brush in the Stila #15 brush. Again, you do not need to use the exact product if you do not have - just use any light blue color, or bright colors you have!
  8. Line half of your upper lashline with Stila Kajal Eye Liner in Onyx, then smudge it out a little bit with the same pencil brush.
  9. Line your water line with the same black eye liner too!
  10. Curl your lashes, and apply a coat of Covergirl Lashblast in Black, then a coat of Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara in Black
You're done with the eyes!

Move on to the face..

Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Blush in Truth or Dare, Palladio Rice Powder in Natural,
Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer in Medium, Lioele Triple Solutions BB Cream, Urban Decay All Nighter,
NARS Laguna Bronzer, Benefit Hoola Bronzer, NYX Blush in Pinched

Sigma F82, MAC 109, Sigma F70
  1. Apply your foundation all over your face with Sigma F82. I used Lioele Triple Solutions BB Cream
  2. Conceal your dark circle with Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer in Medium using Sigma F70. Then, blend it with your ring finger.
  3. Take just a little bit amount of Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Blush in Truth or Dare, and put it in your hand. Then, take your foundation brush, like Sigma F82, blend the blush with it, then dab it onto apple of your cheeks.
  4. Pat Palladio Rice Powder in Natural with a powder puff evenly.
  5. Mix NARS Laguna bronzer and Benefit Hoola Bronzer by dabbing it in your blush brush, like MAC 109. Contour your cheeks with them, and also apply it on the side of your forehead and jaws. Don't forget to apply it all over your neck too!
  6. Sweep NYX blush in Pinched in your apple cheeks with MAC 109 (basically apply it on top of Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Blush in Truth or Dare).
  7. Spray Urban Decay All Nighter to set your make up so that it lasts longer!
You're done!

Lip color is up to you guys! Just put on colored lip balm, or any lip color you'd like!

How fun is this look? For the lids color, you can use any natural colors you want, like browns.

Happy trying!

A
