Revlon Lip Butter vs. L'Oreal Lip Balm

Hi loves! As I promised in my Target Haul post, I would be doing a comparison between Revlon Lip Butter and L'Oreal Lip Balm. Well, if you have read the post of my biggest two obsessions at the moment, you knew which one I loved the most :)

So, Revlon Lip Butter and L'Oreal Lip Balm have kinda the same purposes - they are a moisturizing and hydrating lip balms but it gives you more pigmentation that any other lip balms. I got the color Creamsicle for Revlon Lip Butter and Caramel Comfort for L'Oreal Lip Balm. Creamsicle is a peachy coral nude, whereas Caramel Comfort is a brownish nude.

The texture of Revlon Lip Butter is very smooth and buttery, and it gives shiny color on your pout, whereas L'Oreal Lip Balm is less shiny, but it also glides smoothly on your lip even though you have chapped lip.

Revlon Lip Butter comes in 20 shades, and L'Oreal comes in 8 shades, so Revlon definitely gives you more options.

Here is the pros and cons. Revlon Lip Butter has more pigmentation but it is not long wearing as L'Oreal. The Caramel Comfort does not even show up on my lip probably because I have super pigmented lip. However, I feel L'Oreal Lip Balm gives more hydration for a longer period of time than Revlon Lip Butter. I love the Creamsicle color so much, but it looks horrible when I have chapped lip. Whereas L'Oreal makes my lip looks smooth after I apply it into my dry lip.

Both of them give a soft and supple lip even after it is removed or fades away. By the way, I have to keep reapplying Revlon Lip Butter for almost every 30 minutes, and L'Oreal Lip Butter stays longer.

So if you did not have a pigmented lip, L'Oreal Lip Butter might be better for you. First because it moisturizes your lip more. Second the color might show up better on your lip. I personally like the Revlon better because I do need to tone down my lip color but I want to have my lip feel moisturized and look natural as well, and Revlon does all that to me.

Where to get: any drugstores, prices may vary, but Revlon is a little bit more expensive. I got Revlon Lip Butter for $6.49, and $5.99 for L'Oreal Lip Balm at Target.
