Review: MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner (Photos & Swatches)

MAC Vera collection re-promotes MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner  that comes in seven shades: Lord It Up (bronze with pearl), Black Line (black with gold pearl), Black Swan (black with pearl), Industrial (periwinkle grey), Designer Purple (iridescent violet), Undercurrent (teal with pearl), Petrol Blue (deep navy with pearl). If you can't get this on hand now, don't worry. The guy who works at MAC told me that these colors are going to be permanent! I only own five shades of seven, which are:
  • Lord It Up is a bronze color with gold shimmer. This one is honestly my favorite. It has good color payoff just in one stroke.
  • Black Line is similar to Lord It Up, but with a darker color - it is a dark brown with dirty gold shimmer. It also has a good color payoff in one stroke.
  • Designer Purple is a bright purple violet with silver shimmer. The color payoff is decent.
  • Undercurrent is a teal with blue based and green and gold shimmer. This is a bright color just like Designer Purple, and has a good color payoff.
  • Petrol Blue is a dark navy blue with blue shimmer. The color payoff is decent, but you can build up its intensity. The more you layer on, the more intense and bright the color is.
I like the Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner because the colors are really pigmented and intense. The colors are deep and really rich. Even though some of them do not have a good color payoff in one stroke, you can always layer the color to build up its intensity. Beside its color intensity, I also like its texture - it is soft and creamy, so it glides effortlessly. However, if you are not a fan of shimmer liners, you might not like this because of high shimmer content in all shades. In addition, I do not think this is safe for your waterline, so just apply it onto your upper lash line and lower lash line.

Where to buy: MAC Website, MAC counters, MAC stores, $15 for 0.04oz.

MAC Vera collection also comes out with Pearlmatte Face Powder which I did a review as well. Click here to read.
